Summertime Blues – July 2010
Hello again,
Why “summertime blues”? We have a lot of blue skies for the moment, and temperatures have started escalating into the low 30′s (low 90′s for you Fahrenheit fans). It has been some time since we wrote anything here, and that’s a mistake! Since the last post, we have added a few new websites, and here’s the list in no particular order:
- GEOCOGEN at geocogen.net is a technical site for a project that I have taken on since the beginning of May. The project is a major project to provide 1’000 MegaWatts (or more) of electricity to the owner (a major power company, a municipal power authority, a regional or national government). The system that produces this base-load power is clean, sustainable, reliable, long-lived, and inexpensive. We started the website back in January, but kept it private until the company was formed in May.
- Internet Office Connections http://internetofficeconnections.com is a domain that we took over from our partner Sue Fleckenstein. She decided she wanted to go in a somewhat different direction, so we took over the domain and put an existing php website on it, which is consistent with the previous content.
- Webhosting By Jimmy Craig http://webhostingbyjimmycraig.com is similar to IOC in concept, but it was published primarily as a reference point for Webmaster Resources and Information. If we get to the point where we have enough business, we can install domain name and web hosting reselling activities on this same site.
- Who Is Jimmy Craig was set up to have some place to send people to learn a little more about me in a controlled environment. The header picture of the Alps around the Sankt Gotthard Pass was taken from the living room window in my apartment in Oberägeri.
- Finally, there is a brand new website STARWIND (http://starwind.eu) that belongs to the same group as GEOCOGEN. The STARWIND AG is a designer, fabricator, erector, and operator of high-tech wind turbines for power generation.
I think that’s all of the new sites without any of the old sites mixed in by mistake.
Other news in the website area is that we will be discontinuing some sites as their domains come up for renewal. These are primarily the mophie-iphone series, the R- and X-rated sites
that I never managed to get off the ground, and the Nessebar Beach Apartment sites. That looks like quite a few, but only the three mophie-iphone sites were active.
More news in the website area is the new look of this website. The header picture is the entrance to an auditorium of a symphony hall somewhere, but I’ve forgotten where! That’s almost unforgiveable! But anyway, I think it looks nice!
There will be a new page in the website soon (maybe together with the release of this page) that will show all the Jimmy Craig Websites in a directory (alphabetically sorted).
The final news is that we have moved. All of our operations now will be done in our new space in the village of Hagendorn, near Cham (still in Canton Zug). You can check the contact page for the exact info if you need it.
So. Well, that turned out to be a fair amount of news – more than I thought when I started. ![]()
Thanks for looking in and reading this far!
Craig
